Necessary Schedule Change Requests

Second Semester NECESSARY Schedule Change Requests Policy & Form

Students are expected to complete courses for which they have enrolled. Please view your student’s second semester schedule in the Campus Parent or Student portal by selecting “Schedule.” If you do not have a portal account, then email Donna Byrd, Registrar at byrdd@fultonschools.org for access to the Infinite Campus Parent portal.

  • We limit schedule changes as much as possible in alignment with our policies and procedures but will take into consideration necessary schedule change requests or requests with extenuating circumstances.
  • Necessary changes include
    • The addition of courses required for graduation (if student is a senior),
    • Addition of courses required to fill empty periods,
    • Deletion of courses already completed, or
    • Deletion of courses “doubled up” during a specific period.
  • The following are not necessary reasons to request a second semester schedule change: 
    • Requests to change teachers, specific periods, lunch periods,
    • “Change of Mind”,
    • Incomplete summer assignments, or
    • Electives (academic or non-academic) are not considered to be necessary.
  • Non-necessary changes and requests to add virtual classes will not be entertained unless there are extreme extenuating circumstances, in which case our AHS Scheduling Committee will decide on the requested schedule change.

If you have a concern with your second semester schedule, please access the link below, read our schedule change policy and procedure carefully, and if you feel you have a legitimate reason for a request to change your student’s schedule, please complete the Microsoft form by Friday, January 17th using the link or the QR Code:

The course selections you submit on this form will only be changed by approval of the AHS Scheduling Committee and if there is space available in the requested course.
