Student Parking

Parking at Alpharetta High School is a privilege. Unfortunately, AHS does not have enough spaces to accommodate every student who is capable of parking. Because of this, only Seniors and IB Diploma students will be prioritized during the initial application process.  

Parking spaces will be issued to qualified students on a year-long basis via a lottery system. THE PARKING FEE is $125 PER YEAR. It is expected that every student applying for a parking sticker reads and understands the parking regulations. It is the student’s responsibility to read these regulations, and all students will be held accountable for this information.

There are very few spots remaining, which are near the softball lot. Please submit your application to request one of the remaining parking spots.  

IMPORTANT: Students with parking stickers who choose to park in visitors without permission OR another place on campus not assigned to them, will lose parking privileges for 10 days (without refund), must re-apply, and will be placed at the end of the waitlist.   

The auction for the Foundation parking spots is a separate process that will begin in August and is facilitated by the AHS Foundation. Foundation spots are reserved 24/7 and you may be fined if you park there. DO NOT PARK THERE!  

• Parking stickers must be stuck to the bottom left driver-side window and the rear left window – NOT just lying on your dash. All automobiles parked on the school grounds must be registered. Vehicles that do not properly display a current parking sticker as indicated may be towed at the owner’s expense.
• Students may NOT trade with, sell, share or give away their parking sticker to another student. Doing so will result in loss of parking for both students.
• If someone is parked in your spot, please take a picture of the back of the car including the license plate, park in visitors, go to the front desk immediately, fill out the clipboard, and show the picture so we can investigate. We will investigate and this will prevent you from losing your spot for parking in the visitor lot.
• Parking is enforced from 7am to 4pm except for the AHS Foundation reserved parking spots. Visitor, Foundation and PTSA President spots are enforced 24/7. Students are not to park in any space marked FACULTY, HANDICAPPED, VISITOR, FOUNDATION, or any other unmarked areas. Illegal parking may result in towing. Students are only permitted to park in the student parking lots.
• Students who receive ISS will lose parking privileges for 30 days (without refund) and must re-apply for their parking sticker and be placed on the waiting list.
• Students who receive OSS will lose parking privileges for 60 days (without refund) and must re-apply for their parking sticker and be placed on the waiting list.
• Students who lose parking privileges for disciplinary reasons will not be eligible for a schedule change.
• Students who maintain a current parking sticker may register a new vehicle by sending an email to Mrs. Michelle Bennett (bennettm3@fultonschools.org) and including the new car information (year, make, model, color, license plate #).
• If a situation occurs that requires a student, who holds a valid parking sticker, to drive a car to school other than the AHS registered vehicle, the student must obtain a temporary pass from the front desk. Late passes will not be issued to students who are requesting temporary passes. Temporary passes are not provided to students who are not current parking sticker holders.
